Inspections
Inspections lets your team use a shared checklist to record a check at a home or centre. Each record identifies the site, when the inspection took place, the checklist used, and the answers and notes recorded during that check.
A template and an inspection have different jobs
Section titled “A template and an inspection have different jobs”An inspection template is the reusable checklist. It groups questions into sections and optional sub-sections. Questions can use Yes / No answers or a numeric Score, and the template can allow N/A when a question may not apply.
An inspection is one use of that checklist at a particular site and time. For example, the same opening-check template can be used for separate records at Harbourview and Cedar Lane. Each inspection has its own answers and notes.
A template version identifies the set of questions used. Updating the template creates a new version for later inspections; an earlier inspection keeps the version it started with.
From an open check to a completed record
Section titled “From an open check to a completed record”An Open inspection is still being worked on. You can save answers and notes, then return to continue. Section counts show how many questions have been answered.
Done means the inspection has been marked complete. You can download a completed inspection as a PDF containing its details, answers and notes. If a correction is needed, follow the steps to correct a completed inspection. Reopening requires the appropriate permission.
The record captures what your team found. Use notes to explain an answer and follow your program’s procedure for any issue that needs attention.
Choose the next task
Section titled “Choose the next task”Manage reusable checklists in Organization Settings → Site Setup → Inspection Templates. Start and review individual checks in Site Operations → Inspections. Check the site, date and template version when several records use the same checklist.

Section titled “Inspection guides”The examples and screenshots use demonstration records.
